Pies come, usually, in one shape. But the classic round desserts come in a variety of flavors and sizes. With a flaky and buttery pie base, any flavor of one’s choice can go into it, from chocolate to pumpkin pie and from apple to pecan and key lime pie. For the Recipe

  • Oreos: 15 pcs
  • Butter: 2 tbsp (at room temperature)
  • Milk: 500 ml
  • Custard Powder: 3 tbsp
  • Heavy Cream: 250ml
  • Bananas: 2
  • Cadbury Dairy Milk Silk, for garnish

Directions

01

In a food processor, crush the Oreos into a fine powder.

02

Add the powdered Oreos to a mixing bowl along with the butter. Mix well with your hands till the butter completely mixes with the oreos.

step-3
03

Add the cookie crumble to a pie dish and evenly distribute it throughout the pie dish. Pat it with a silicone spatula to flatten it. You could also use the flat end of a glass. This is the base of the pie.

04

Freeze the base for 15 mins.

05

For the filling, heat milk in a pan and let it cook on medium heat for 15 mins.

06

Mix a dash of water in the custard powder and stir to let it dissolve. Add the custard mix into hot milk while whisking. Doing this will not let any lumps get formed. Keep whisking and cook on low flame for 5 mins. Set it aside to cool down.

step-7
07

In a large mixing bowl, pour in the heavy cream and whisk till soft peaks are formed.

step-8
08

Add almost ¾ th of the cream to the custard and whisk it to mix completely.

step-9
09

Pour the custard mixture on top of the oreo base.

10

Slice bananas and place the pieces on top to cover up the custard completely.

step-11
11

Fill a piping bag with the rest of the cream and pipe the cream on top of the banana layer.

step-12
12

Garnish with some Cadbury Dairy Milk Silk chocolate curls.

13

Refrigerate for 2-3 hours before serving.
