For the Recipe

  • Seedless Dates – ½ Cup 
  • Hot Milk – 1 ¼ Cups 
  • Banana – 1 medium size
  • Melted Ghee – ¼ cup 
  • Vanilla essence – ¼ teaspoon
  • Whole Wheat Flour (Atta) – ½ Cup
  • Oats (ground into fine flour) – ½ Cup 
  • Baking powder – ½ teaspoon 
  • Baking soda – ½ teaspoon 
  • Dried Nuts (Chopped) – ½ Cup 
  • Cadbury Cocoa Powder – 2 Tablespoon
  • Hot Water - 2 Tablespoon 
  • Cadbury Dairy Milk (coarsely chopped) – 1/8 Cup

Soak the seedless Dates with the hot milk and let it rest for about 30 minutes.

After letting it rest for about 30 minutes, take the banana, ghee, vanilla extract, and the soaked Dates with milk and blend it in a blender until it is nice and smooth.

Transfer this mixture into a bowl and sift in the Atta (whole wheat flour), ground Oats, Baking powder and Baking Soda. (Sifting is important to remove of large pieces of Oats that did not ground fully) and mix.

Add the chopped dried Nuts and mix well so that all ingredients get incorporated well.

In a separate bowl, add Cocoa powder and hot water and mix well and add it into the batter and mix.

Pour this batter into a cake pan lined with parchment paper, add the coarsely chopped chocolate on top and bake this in a pre-heated oven at 180C for 30 – 35 Minutes.

Once baked, let it rest in the Oven for about 5 minutes before taking it out. Once baked, take out in a plate and serve warm.
