1 cup unsalted butter
2 ¼ cups granulated sugar
4 large eggs
1 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
½ teaspoon salt
1 ½ cups high-quality dark chocolate chunks or chips
Preheat the oven to 175°C or 350°F. Line a baking pan with parchment paper and leave some ends hanging out for easy removal.
Melt the butter and combine it with granulated sugar. Now add eggs to the butter mixture one at a time and beat well. Include vanilla extract and mix well.
In a separate bowl, whisk all-purpose flour, unsweetened cocoa powder and salt.
Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and mix until well combined. Fold in dark chocolate chunks until evenly distributed.
Pour the batter into the baking tray, spread evenly and bake for 30-35 minutes. Check by inserting a toothpick in the centre, if it comes clean then it's done.
Allow to cool then slice into squares. Serve and enjoy.
