For the Recipe
- 2 tbsp of Cadbury Cocoa Powder
- 1 ½ cups + 3 tbsp of milk
- ¼ cup of sugar
- ¼ cup + 2 tbsp of cornstarch
- 3 tbsp of Cadbury Bournville
- 2 tbsp of almonds
Directions
In a bowl, combine 1/4 cup of cornstarch, 2 tbsp of sugar, and 1/2 cup of milk, mixing thoroughly.
In another bowl, mix Cadbury cocoa powder, the remaining cornstarch, sugar, and milk.
Heat the mixture without cocoa powder in a pot on medium flame, stirring until it reaches a lumpy consistency.
Simultaneously, heat the mixture with cocoa powder in another pot on medium flame until it becomes smooth.
Immediately layer the two mixtures in a rectangular pan, refrigerate until cool, then transfer it to a flat plate.
Finely chop almonds and set aside, shave the Cadbury Bournville chocolate, and sprinkle both on top of the pudding.
Keep refrigerated until ready to serve.
TIPS:
Heat both the cocoa powder mix and the cornflour mix simultaneously to prevent hardening. Layer them while they are hot to ensure proper settling of the cocoa batter, and cornstarch batter.
Consider garnishing the pudding with either store-bought or homemade caramel syrup. Chocolate and caramel make a delightful combination, making it worth trying with your Milky Mingle.
You can also prepare a berry compote using either fresh or frozen berries. Simply heat the berries with some sugar and a squeeze of lemon juice in a saucepan. Continue simmering the berries until the mixture thickens. Spoon it over your pudding and enjoy.
For a gourmet touch and to impress your guests, consider adding a pinch of sea salt as a garnish.
