Velvety Oreo Parfait Recipe

For the Recipe
- ¼ cups of chopped chocolate
- ¼ cup of sugar
- 3 tbsp of cornstarch
- 2 tbsp of Cadbury Cocoa Powder
- 2 cups of milk
- ¼ cup of heavy cream
- 1 tsp of vanilla extract
- ⅓ cups of whipped cream
- A big pack or 15 pieces of Oreo Cookies
- Fresh fruits of choice for topping
Directions
Crush 5 Oreos coarsely to add to the whipped cream, and with the other 5 biscuits, make fine crumbs and set aside.
Mix the whipped cream and add the coarsely crushed Oreos, then let it chill in the fridge for about 10 minutes.
In a saucepan, add sugar, cornstarch, cocoa powder, and salt, and whisk.
Gradually add the milk while continuously stirring until incorporated and smooth. Once mixed well, place the saucepan over medium heat, whisking continuously until it thickens.
Once thickened, add heavy cream and the chopped chocolate, and whisk until melted and combined.
Turn off the heat, add the vanilla extract, and combine. Remove from heat and let it sit and cool down for some time.
To avoid a skin from forming on top, cover it with cling film while it sets and cools down to room temperature.
Take a glass and add the Oreo crumbs to the bottom of the glass, layer it with the whipped cream mix. On top of this, add a layer of the chocolate pudding.
Add another layer of Oreo crumbs and finally top it off with another layer of whipped cream. Add any fresh fruits of your choice and chocolate pieces.
Serve the Velvety Oreo Parfait chilled.
While cream is a great choice if you're going for a dessert to serve at a dinner party or soiree, you can opt for either unflavored or vanilla Greek yogurt if you want a healthier option to pair with the Oreos.
