Directions
Measure the dry ingredients: AP flour, Cadbury Cocoa Powder, caster sugar, baking soda, baking powder and salt.
Sift all the dry ingredients in one bowl. Mix well and set aside.
Grease and line two 6-inch round pans with parchment paper. Preheat oven to 180°C.
Measure the wet ingredients: coffee water, vegetable oil, vinegar and vanilla extract.
Add the wet ingredients to the dry mixture and whisk until incorporated.
Pour the batter into the prepared pans.
Bake for about 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the cakes comes out clean. Allow the cakes to cool for 5-10 minutes before taking them out of the pan, then cool on a wire rack.
Trim off the top of the cakes if they are domed.
Measure the ingredients for the ganache: Cadbury Darkmilk, whipping cream and warm fresh cream.
Whip the cream until it forms stiff peaks.
Pour the warm fresh cream over the chopped Cadbury Darkmilk and let it sit for 5-10 minutes. Stir gently until it is well combined. Let it cool down.
Place a cake board on the turntable. Place one cake on it. Spread some of the whipped cream on the cake.
Place the other cake and then cover the sides of the cake with a transparent acetate sheet. Stick the sheet on the cake with transparent tape.
Pour the ganache on top of the cake. Decorate with edible pearls.
Plate the cake before pulling the acetate sheet out.
Pull out the acetate sheet. Done!
