World Chocolate Day Special: Tantalizing White Chocolate Desserts

White chocolate is made with cocoa butter and is sweetened and thickened with dairy and milk fat. Many purists would say it’s not really chocolate because it does not contain any cocoa. But who cares? It’s just so luscious, silky and delicious. Also, milk and dark chocolate are not everyone’s cup of tea. On this World Chocolate Day (July 7), enjoy white chocolate to your heart’s content. If you want to make it at home without, then we’ve shared an easy recipe below. You can make some scrumptious chocolate dessert recipes with it too. Keep reading to know more!

White Chocolate at Home

Ingredients:

  • 85 gm evenly chopped cacao butter
  • 43 gm powdered sugar
  • 85 gm milk powder

Instructions:

  • Fill a saucepan with water and bring that to a rolling boil. Lower the heat to bring the water to a simmer.
  • Place a heatproof bowl over it and add the chopped cacao butter.
  • Stir the cacao butter around to evenly melt it.
  • Once done, give it a good mix and add milk powder and powdered sugar. You can either use a spatula or a whisk to completely incorporate the dry ingredients into the melted cacao butter.
  • Let this mixture cool a little before blending it into a food processor until smooth. Ensure that there is no graininess left.
  • Pour the prepared chocolate into silicone chocolate molds and let this solidify in the freezer for about 20 minutes.
  • Unmold the chocolate and enjoy the fruit of your labor!

Here are some recipes in which you can use this homemade white chocolate or store bought one if you want to avoid the extra work.
